Following a successful pilot scheme in 2021, The Community One Stop (COS) will return to Pickering and Helmsley on a monthly basis.
Pickering Community One Stop
The Pickering COS will take place at Pickering Methodist Church on the first Monday of the month beginning 7 March 9:30am-3pm.
The morning session will run from 9:30am-12pm and comprise of a ‘drop-in’ where local people can meet a variety of local charities and statutory organisations to learn about what is taking place within the local community. IDAS are also hosting an exhibition of artwork, poems and stories written by survivors of domestic abuse in recognition of International Women’s Day (8 March).
The afternoon session will be hosted by Ryedale Carers Support and run from 1:30-3pm. They have invited Matt Jones-Green from ‘Rewind Music & Reminiscence’ to come along and sing music from the 60s!
Helmsley Community One Stop
The Helmsley COS will take place at Helmsley Town Hall on the last Friday of the month beginning 25 February 12pm-2pm. Stalls will be attended by various voluntary, community and statutory organisations to provide free advice. David Brewster from Helmsley Walled Garden will also be conducting walks to Helmsley Walled Garden including free entry!
