Help shape health and care in North Yorkshire

Healthwatch North Yorkshire, the independent champion for everyone who uses health and care services, are asking organisations to disclose any health and care issues they are hearing about from their community/service users and/or members.

Click here to complete the short survey.

The information provided will form part of their quarterly pulse reports highlighting the health and care situation for people across North Yorkshire. This will be shared widely including decision makers and service providers. The first one will be available in November.

With the impending changes to health and local authority structures, Healthwatch want to ensure that the issues across North Yorkshire and in individual districts are noted and part of future decisions on plans and service development. As well as being part of the Healthwatch network, there are a range of ways to ensure the voices of people in North Yorkshire are heard:

  • Sign up to receive regular Healthwatch online newsletters (if you don’t already) – these will include links to pulse reports, updates on the work, information about what’s happening in health and care in North Yorkshire and more.

  • Request printed newsletters to display in your venue - Healthwatch stalls can also be arranged for your venues and events

  • Include Healthwatch North Yorkshire information in your newsletters – short articles can be provided including information about the new individual network.

  • Work with Healthwatch to understand the experiences of your service users or members through focus groups or other engagement opportunities. Members of the team would love to attend your groups or events to get feedback from your members or service users.

  • Share information with Healthwatch about your activities to include in our newsletter and social media posts. Just email Gemma at gemma.hutcheson@hwny.co.uk with information to share.
