Latest IDAS update



IDAS continue to provide a range of services and support sessions that support anyone affected by domestic abuse or sexual violence.


IDAS Helpline

If someone would like advice or support they can call the IDAS helpline. IDAS will then ensure they are safe, provide advice and support specific to their situation and needs including signposting to other agencies.

Moving on from Domestic Abuse (MODA)

IDAS are hosting online 'Moving on from Domestic Abuse' groups beginning 3rd March, running for 6 weeks. Referrals are based on individual's support needs and can be made via the IDAS website. Plans are also in place to hold face to face groups commencing in late Spring.


Moving on from Sexual Abuse (MOSA)

IDAS are also running 'Moving on From Sexual Abuse' (MOSA) online sessions due to start in the Spring. A referral can be made via the IDAS website.


Multi Agency Whole Family Approach (MAWFA)

The MAWFA project will commence in April and provide 1-to-1 support for children aged 10 - 16 who have experienced or been impacted by domestic abuse. Support for parents is also available in the form of 1-to-1 support, online workshops, and also professional training accessible via the IDAS website. Respect Programme

The Respect Programme supports families where children or young people have started to display abusive or aggressive behaviours towards their parents or carers. It is a voluntary programme for families who would like to work to gain positive change within the family. For more information or to make a referral, click here.


Refuge

IDAS has a number of Refuge properties in North Yorkshire, including dispersed properties in Scarborough which are fully inclusive, as well as standalone refuges in Northallerton, York and Harrogate. If your agency would like updating when there is space in a property please email: margaret.preston@idas.org.uk.


IDAS can also support clients searching for refuge via an up to date database of available refuge spaces across the country. Existing clients can call their keyworker or the helpline on 03000 110 110.
