IDAS Webinar - support available for families impacted by domestic abuse, 9th March 2pm
This is a joint presentation with IDAS, Foundation UK and Hard to Help. The focus of the presentation is the support for families, including perpetrators of domestic abuse. The presentation will include information about the new service for children and young people, which launched in City of York in July 2021 and rolls out to North Yorkshire in April 2022. Information will also be provided on support for victims of domestic abuse, how to recognise a victim, perpetrator traits, services for alleged perpetrators and how we all work together to support families. IDAS CBD accredited course - supporting male victims of domestic abuse, March 16th 10 am - 1 pm £30
This half day course will explore the unique experiences of male victims of domestic abuse by increasing your understanding around the challenges, barriers and types of abuse male victims can often be faced with.
TEWV Users, Carers and Advocates - Introduction to Leadership Programme 2022
The focus of the programme will be to:
Support users, carers and advocates with career and personal development.
Work together to develop leadership skills - to share ideas and experiences and learn from each other.
Support and encourage users, carers and advocates to be effective in influencing and contributing to service improvements.
Empower users, carers and advocates within their own local services.
Encourage participants to create and sustain a self-supporting network

Volunteer opportunities for service users
Below are some involvement opportunities for service users trying to return to work. They include a great support package with career progression into paid work. A free DBS check will be undertaken at no cost to the volunteer.
