The new Ryedale Community Foodbank will officially open its doors to clients at Howe Road, Norton at 10am on Wednesday May 4th.
The Foodbank we will be opening for one session a week (Wednesday), with volunteers delivering on Fridays to rural areas. A second public open session on Friday mornings will be introduced in the near future.
Outreach Foodbanks in Pickering and Kirkbymoorside are already open and seeing a good number of people attending requiring food aid.
The Foodbank are operating a voucher scheme with visitors redeeming their voucher in order to receive a food parcel. Customers will also be asked for their personal requirements and family size. Vouchers have been distributed to the following referral agencies:

A digital referral form has also been circulated so that food parcels can be requested online, however the Foodbank encourage people to bring a voucher with them when they visit if possible. Please contact referrals@ryedalecommunityfoodbank.org.uk if you require a digital referral form.
The Foodbank is independently operated and administered by local volunteers, and is not affiliated to any umbrella organisation.
Opening Hours:
Howe Road, Norton – open to public Wednesdays 10am to 12pm, with deliveries from the warehouse on Fridays.
Pickering, The Hungate Centre – open to public on Thursdays 4pm – 6pm
Kirkbymoorside, Methodist Church School Room, Piercy End – open to the public on Thursdays 9.30am – 11.30am
